Amore In Italia

GIANNA &

MICHELO

May 27th, 2027

More than a wedding, it’s an experience.

A few days in Italy, surrounded by the people we love most.

A time to step away from the everyday — to travel, to explore, and to create memories that will stay with us forever.

Whether it’s your first time crossing the world, or simply another reason to return to a place you’ve always loved, we hope this becomes something truly special for you too.

An opportunity to slow down, to be present, and to celebrate — not just us, but life itself.

Your presence in Italy is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you would like to celebrate us with an additional gift, we would be grateful for a contribution toward our future together.

Travel & Stay

  • The closest airport is Rome (FCO).

From there, we recommend renting a car and enjoying the drive into Umbria (approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes). If you plan to go to Florence afterwards, you can drop off the car at a station there and continue your trip by train.

If you are traveling Italy before the wedding you can also rent a car and look for an option that allows drop off at Rome airport and leave before going back.

Best time to buy the tickets is between 8 to 6 months before traveling date.

  • While Amelia does not have its own train station, the closest and most convenient option is Orte Station, located approximately 25 minutes away by car.

From Orte, you can easily reach Rome, Florence, Orvieto, and other destinations by train.

We highly recommend renting a car during your stay, as Umbria is best explored at your own pace. However, if you prefer not to drive—or simply don't want to worry about transportation on wedding day—we'll be sharing a list of trusted taxi drivers and private transportation options as we get closer to the celebration.

Be sure to check back throughout the year, as we'll continue updating this page with helpful travel tips, transportation resources, and local recommendations.

FAQs

Do I need to rent a car?

*

Yes, we highly recommend it for flexibility. Do it with time as automatic cars get rented quickly. You also need to get an international license to drive in Italy. You will not be able to rent without it. Fill out application, bring a 2x2 pictures and pay $20. Go to nearest AAA to get it.

What will the weather be like?

*

Late May in Italy is warm and beautiful — expect mid 70s. Always check the weather app as it might change on the days you plan to be there.

Can I bring a plus one?

*

Due to the intimate nature of our celebration, invitations are limited to those listed.
